That post-gym happy feeling. ☀️ Am I one of those bros that posts photos of myself at the gym now? Maybe so.

I was just chatting with friends the other day about how health: mental, physical, all of it, has become such a priority for us this past year. There is just nothing more important. Working out has become a kind of medicine for me. And the gym is a place I can go for fitness, yes, but also a place to escape and have an hour truly for myself. The mental health benefits for me far outweigh the physical. I made a decision to do it regularly and it has elevated everything in my life. I’m so grateful for the ability to make it a priority.

I’m excited to partner with Xist Fitness to share a bit more about what I’ve been up to. They’ve got a great space to workout, but also have things like sunless tanning, red light therapy and massage beds. Stay tuned for a little tour.

Wow, I’m so glad we had the opportunity to experience St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station. 🦈 The boys absolutely loved petting the sting rays and star fish. And the otters are adorable. Bonus: most of the exhibits are dark and cool, so our newborn slept the whole time.

Union Station has added so much in the last few years. There is so much to explore and it is all super family-friendly. 🎡

My boys are completely mesmerized with their first view of the Gateway Arch National Park outside our window at Drury Hotels. We just checked in for a St. Louis staycation. This weekend we’re taking the kids to a handful of our favorite spots downtown. Let us know if you’ve been to lately. Any new spots we should add to the list?

I feel a change in the air. I love fresh beginnings, and when the seasons shift it always makes me want to throw open the windows and shake things up a bit. 🍂 My whole family has been a little stir crazy these last several months so when Dr. Scholl's Shoes asked us to collaborate on their “Do What You Love” project this fall I jumped at the chance.

We have a shared love of sustainability, music, family and conscious living—so partnering on this felt so right. And you all know how much I love supporting businesses in St. Louis.

Prior to Raise, Jessica was a writer for USA’s “In Plain Sight” and TNT’s “The Last Ship.” She also co-created the Nick at Nite series “Instant Mom,” based on her life as a stepmother.
