The Lindbergh Schools Foundation was founded in 1998 by a group of Lindbergh parents who shared a strong commitment to Lindbergh’s education, and Lindbergh’s students. The founding board realized that additional resources for significant funding would be needed to maintain the high level of excellence that had long been a trademark of Lindbergh Schools. The commitment was then made to lead the eff
ort to raise additional funds and to form the Foundation. SCHOLARSHIPS
The first efforts of the Foundation were directed toward funding college scholarships for Lindbergh High School seniors. Over the years, the Foundation Scholarship program of the Foundation has expanded to include the financial management and administration of 58 scholarships established in the name of Lindbergh administrators, teachers, coaches or alumni, in addition to the original Foundation Adversity Scholarship. GRANTS
The Spirit of Lindbergh Fund and the Spirit of Lindbergh Teacher Grants program were established to encourage and support the efforts of district teachers who propose innovative projects to engage their students in more creative and exciting ways. This program has evolved into the Innovation Grant Program and is now accessible by any Lindbergh staff member. Since beginning our grant program in January 1, 2008, 400+ Lindbergh staff have received grants of up to $500, totaling more than $181,000. PARTNER PROGRAMS
In 2019 the Lindbergh High School Alumni Association and Lindbergh Lights the Way both became partner committees of the Lindbergh Schools Foundation. Additionally, in 2022 the Lindbergh Retired Educators also became a partner committee of the Foundation. With the addition of these three programs, our arching mission has remained the same, but our depth and reach has increased because of their programs, volunteers, and commitment.
