Lindbergh Schools Foundation

Lindbergh Schools Foundation Providing funds, strength and support to the Lindbergh Schools community. We're Here To Help.

The Lindbergh Schools Foundation was founded in 1998 by a group of Lindbergh parents who shared a strong commitment to Lindbergh’s education, and Lindbergh’s students. The founding board realized that additional resources for significant funding would be needed to maintain the high level of excellence that had long been a trademark of Lindbergh Schools. The commitment was then made to lead the eff

ort to raise additional funds and to form the Foundation. SCHOLARSHIPS
The first efforts of the Foundation were directed toward funding college scholarships for Lindbergh High School seniors. Over the years, the Foundation Scholarship program of the Foundation has expanded to include the financial management and administration of 58 scholarships established in the name of Lindbergh administrators, teachers, coaches or alumni, in addition to the original Foundation Adversity Scholarship. GRANTS
The Spirit of Lindbergh Fund and the Spirit of Lindbergh Teacher Grants program were established to encourage and support the efforts of district teachers who propose innovative projects to engage their students in more creative and exciting ways. This program has evolved into the Innovation Grant Program and is now accessible by any Lindbergh staff member. Since beginning our grant program in January 1, 2008, 400+ Lindbergh staff have received grants of up to $500, totaling more than $181,000. PARTNER PROGRAMS
In 2019 the Lindbergh High School Alumni Association and Lindbergh Lights the Way both became partner committees of the Lindbergh Schools Foundation. Additionally, in 2022 the Lindbergh Retired Educators also became a partner committee of the Foundation. With the addition of these three programs, our arching mission has remained the same, but our depth and reach has increased because of their programs, volunteers, and commitment. You can read more about the Alumni Association, Lindbergh Lights the Way, and Lindbergh Retired Educators, on our website at www.LindberghSchoolsFoundation.org

✨ Supporting Our Families All Summer Long! ✨
Our Summer Cafe program distributed its last bags of groceries for the season the week of August 10! Throughout the summer, Lindbergh Lights the Way provided weekly grocery deliveries to 59 Lindbergh families, helping ensure students had continuous access to food while school was out of session. 💚💛

Partner Spotlight: A huge thank you to South County Manager Jessica Durney and her staff for coordinating the lunches and packing the meals for each delivery!

Community Support: We would also like to thank our Crestwood Sam’s Club for awarding us $5,000 through the Spark Good grant we received in May to support Summer Cafe. We are proud to in our community!

Volunteer Gratitude: Extra gratitude to Nancy Benson and Sammye and Bernie LaRose for their faithfulness in organizing and distributing the food to our volunteer drivers each week!
Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported our mission to keep Lindbergh families cared for all summer long! 💚💛

STUDENT-PARTICIPANT OF THE WEEK - ISABELLA RODRIGUEZ
Presented by the Lindbergh Schools Foundation

Each week, we are proud to recognize a Flyer who is making an impact through their involvement, dedication, leadership and commitment to Lindbergh High School.

Congratulations to Isabella Rodriguez, a member of Cheer and President of the Flight Team, our Lindbergh Schools Foundation Student-Participant of the Week!

Isabella has been an active and highly visible leader throughout the opening weeks of the school year. In addition to representing Lindbergh through Cheer, she serves as President of the Flight Team, a student leadership group that supports student shadow tours, parent tours, Fly Up Day events, community engagement and initiatives that strengthen school culture.

Whether she is welcoming a prospective student, helping at a school event, supporting her teammates or representing Lindbergh in the community, Isabella consistently steps forward when there is an opportunity to serve and lead.

“Isabella represents exactly what we hope a Flyer will be, involved, positive, dependable and willing to serve others. She doesn't just participate; she looks for opportunities to make Lindbergh better for the people around her. She has already made a tremendous impact this school year and is an outstanding role model for both our current students and our Future Flyers.” — Sean Erwin, Activities Director

Please join us in congratulating Isabella Rodriguez on an outstanding start to the school year and for representing her programs and Lindbergh High School so well!

The Student-Participant of the Week is made possible through the support of the Lindbergh Schools Foundation. Since 1998, the Foundation has supported Lindbergh students by providing scholarships, funding programs and projects that enrich the student experience, and building connections between our schools, alumni and community.

From the arts and activities to clubs, leadership, academics and service, our students have countless opportunities to find their place, pursue their passions and make an impact. We are proud to partner with the Foundation to celebrate the Flyers who make those programs special.

It's Foundation Friday -- Road trip edition!
This week, we took a day trip and hit the road to Cape Girardeau for a day of collaboration and inspiration!

Our Executive Director, Erica Keating, along with new Programs Coordinator, Annie Deutsch, and Support Specialist, Judy Girard, spent the day connecting with other education foundation leadership here in Missouri.

Thank you to the Cape Girardeau Foundation Executive Director and their Superintendent for hosting us and planning a wonderful day. They treated us to a delicious lunch, gave us behind-the-scenes tours of the amazing Cape campuses, and showed us some of the grants they’ve funded.

We also got to carpool with leadership from the Ladue Education Foundation! The drive was filled with brainstorming, swapping strategies, and sharing fresh ideas.

We are coming back energized, inspired, and excited for the 2026-27 school year!

Foundation Friday: 💚

A huge thank you to the Lindbergh Flyerettes for supporting the Lindbergh Lights the Way Summer Cafe last week! ✨

Not only did they bring their warm smiles and positive energy, but they also rolled up their sleeves to help load our volunteers’ vehicles with groceries and meals for the week.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Flyerettes also presented the Foundation with a check for $686.75—every dollar raised through donations collected during their annual Summer Flyerette Mini Camp. Their generosity and commitment to giving back will help provide food and support to local families throughout the summer.

We are so grateful for this amazing group of students and the difference they’re making in our community. Thank you, Flyerettes! 💚
