We held a highly successful joint closing meeting with PTRT, featuring the renowned composer, Dennis Alexander. Mr. Alexander shared his exceptional compositions, invaluable insights, experiences and resources for piano teachers.

We appreciate Steinway Piano Gallery of St. Louis for hosting our event. You may find Mr. Alexander’s wonderful compositions for pianists at all levels at Mid-States Sheet Music.

Tomorrow!!

On behalf of the Saint Louis Area Music Teachers Association and the Piano Teachers Round Table-St. Louis, the Steinway Piano Gallery of St. Louis and Mid-States Sheet Music proudly welcome composer, educator, and pianist Dennis Alexander to the Jane Allen Recital Hall on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. for a special session titled “Why Didn’t I Think of That?”

Enjoy an intimate talk by one of the most widely performed and beloved composers in piano studios around the world. Over 200 compositions by Mr. Alexander will also be available for browsing and purchase, courtesy of Mid-States Sheet Music. In addition, Steinway experts will be on hand to answer questions about the exceptional pianos in the showroom.

Session Fees

Free for members of the Saint Louis Area Music Teachers Association (SLAMTA) and the Piano Teachers Round Table - St. Louis (PTRT). Please consider joining one of these wonderful organizations to help continue bringing programs like this to the St. Louis metro area.

$15 charitable donation for non-members. Please email Mid-States Sheet Music at [email protected] for payment options. All proceeds will benefit PTRT and SLAMTA.
