Rooted in American values of service, resilience, and compassion, we we stand by those in need offering hope, support and recovery. Sikhs of MO previously "Sikhs of STL" is an esteemed Disaster Relief and Emergency Response organization dedicated to serving communities with selfless commitment and compassion. Our ethos is guided by the principles of unconditional assistance, operationalized throug
h a policy of 'No Questions Asked, No Judgment.' Our primary focus is on humanitarian service and ensuring the safety and dignity of vulnerable populations. Based in Missouri, we provide vital services including hot meals, food resources, and hygiene supplies to those in need. Our organization has earned recognition at both state and national levels for our steadfast dedication to community service. One of our notable annual events is TURBAN DAY, held in partnership with Susan G. This event honors cancer survivors by offering them complimentary turbans, a symbol of honor and respect in Sikh culture. Since our inception in 2019, Sikhs of MO have consistently demonstrated a commitment to empathy, inclusivity, and diversity. Our activities encompass education, advocacy, and community engagement, all aimed at fostering a culture of selfless service, acceptance, and protection for the vulnerable. During the pandemic, our response adapted to the changing needs of the community. When local Gurdwaras (Sikh places of worship) had to pause their traditional 'Langar' (free community meals), our volunteers intensified their efforts, maintaining strict health standards. We initiated extensive food and supply drives across Saint Louis, particularly in areas severely affected by the pandemic. These efforts included the distribution of fresh produce, non-perishables, and essential supplies, benefiting thousands of families. Our unhoused supply drives provided hot meals, winter clothing, blankets, and emergency kits to those without shelter. Guided by the Sikh principle of 'Seva' (selfless service), these initiatives exemplify our commitment to community support. Currently, our Disaster Relief project continues to operate every Sunday, offering food and assistance to all in need. The ongoing support from the community has been instrumental in our ability to sustain these efforts. At Sikhs of MO, we believe in a vision of global unity and support, viewing the world as one extended family deserving of love and care. We advocate for individual acts of kindness, believing that collective effort can lead to global healing and transformation.
