HANDS OFF OUR CENSUS!
Speak up and protect an accurate 2030 census count!

Proposed changes to the 2030 census could erase communities and threaten fair representation and funding across the country. We need your voice to make sure everyone is counted!

Some of the changes that are wanted are:

~ Many residents would no longer count: International students, work-visa holders, refugees, asylees, and other residents would be dropped from the apportionment count for the first time.

~ Hinting at the possibility of adding an untested citizenship and immigration status question to the questionnaire to facilitate removing people from the count.

~ No race or ethnicity data: Asked in some form in every census since 1790, race and ethnicity questions would be prohibited. Nearly every other survey is weighted to census counts, so the loss would ripple through public health, civil rights, and business data.

What an incredible night at MICA Trivia Night!

We had a full house with 368 attendees and 46 teams battling it out for trivia champion. Thanks to your amazing support, we raised over $3K in the raffle and surpassed our $25K goal during the Fund a Need portion. Overall, we raised more than $74K!

Huge thanks to our co-directors, Nicole and Jessica, our sponsors, volunteers, speakers, staff, supporters, and everyone who made this night unforgettable.

See you next year!
