Beautiful Souls,

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not just a date — it is a responsibility.

Our stories matter.
Our health matters.
Our communities deserve access to information that can protect and empower us.

Today, LaLa Speaks Foundation honors Juneteenth by continuing the work: breaking the silence around brain aneurysm awareness, helping families know the signs, and reminding our community that awareness is a form of freedom too.

When we know better, we can act faster.
When we share, we can save lives.

Our freedom. Our health. Our future.

A daughter.

A son.

A mother.

A father.

A friend.

In May 2024, my daughter Jacqueline “LaLa” Rhone lost her life to a ruptured brain aneurysm at just 39 years old.

This interview was recorded as I began turning one of the hardest moments of my life into a mission.

Today, that mission continues through LaLa Speaks Foundation.

As we prepare for our Every 18 Minutes Campaign, I’m sharing this story again because the need for awareness has not changed.

Every 18 minutes, someone’s life is impacted by a brain aneurysm.

Most people never see it coming.

Please take two minutes to watch.

Then share this post.

Someone in your circle may need this information more than you know.

❤️ Together, we can break the silence surrounding brain aneurysms.

A brain aneurysm diagnosis or rupture can change everything, but this short reminder offers something many families need to hear: hope.

In this clip from LaLa Speaks Foundation’s Brain Health & Early Intervention Summit, Dr. Abdullah Hakoun shares that survivors can still have quality of life.

Every survivor’s journey is different, but awareness, support, and conversation matter.

We are sharing these moments to help break the silence around brain aneurysm awareness and remind families that these conversations need to happen before crisis happens.

Every 18 minutes, someone in the U.S. suffers a ruptured brain aneurysm.

That is not just a statistic. That is a life, a family, and a moment that can change everything.

Melonie Montgomery shared this powerful reminder during the Brain Health & Early Intervention Summit, and it speaks directly to why LaLa Speaks Foundation is building the Every 18 Minutes campaign.

We are breaking the silence around brain aneurysm awareness because too many families learn the signs after crisis happens.

Learn the signs. Share the message. Help us carry this forward.

Beautiful Souls,

Healthy living is not just about looking good. It is about protecting your brain, your body, your peace, and your future. ❤️🧠

At LaLa Speaks Foundation, we are committed to breaking the silence around brain health and brain aneurysm awareness through education, community outreach, and real conversations that reach every generation.

This message is for our youth.
This message is for our parents.
This message is for our elders.
This message is for every family that deserves to know more before tragedy strikes.

Small choices matter:
Know the warning signs.
Check your blood pressure.
Move your body.
Manage stress.
Rest and recover.

We cannot do this alone. Every share helps us reach another family, another friend, another community.

Help us break the silence. Share the message.

“A leader with no followers is just taking a walk.”

That quote sat with me this morning.

LaLa Speaks Foundation was born from pain, but it cannot grow from my footsteps alone. This mission needs people willing to walk beside us, share the message, show up for families, and help bring brain aneurysm awareness into rooms where it has been silent for too long.

Every 18 minutes, someone in the U.S. suffers a brain aneurysm rupture. Awareness cannot wait.

So today, I’m not just asking you to watch the walk.
I’m asking you to join it.

Volunteer. Share. Partner. Support.
Because this mission moves further when we move together.

This could be your daughter.
The young woman laughing with her coworkers.
The counselor helping students navigate difficult days.
The friend who makes everyone smile.
The colleague everyone can count on.

This is my daughter, Jacqueline "LaLa" Rhone.

When people hear the words "brain aneurysm," they often think of statistics.

I think of moments like this.
A life.
A purpose.
A future.
A woman who was making a difference in the lives of others.

Every person affected by a brain aneurysm is more than a diagnosis. More than a headline. More than a number.

They are someone's daughter.
Someone's son.
Someone's mother.
Someone's father.
Someone's friend.

Today, I share this photo to remind us all that every life matters and every conversation about brain health has the potential to save one.

Awareness isn't about fear.

It's about protecting the people we love.

❤️ In honor of LaLa, help us keep the conversation going by sharing this message.

From one grieving mother to another…

I want you to know that you are not forgotten.

You are loved.
You are appreciated.
You are seen.

As our Heavenly Father calls His angels home, we are left to carry their memories, honor their legacies, and somehow find the strength to keep moving forward one day at a time.

Some days we smile.
Some days we struggle.
Some days simply getting out of bed is a victory.

No matter where you are on your journey, I want you to know that I see you. I hear you. I feel you.

If no one has told you today, you are loved.

And the love you shared with your child, spouse, parent, sibling, family member, or friend did not end when they left this earth. That love remains. It lives in every memory, every lesson, every laugh, and every tear.

So take a deep breath. Give yourself grace. Keep going.

Your loved one would want you to keep living, keep loving, and keep shining.

And on the days when it feels impossible, imagine them gently tapping your shoulder, reminding you that you can make it through one more day.

You are not alone. ❤️
