A message from the Board of Directors of 10 Billion Strong.
After years of building something we deeply believe in, the Board has made the decision to close 10 Billion Strong, and to do it in a way that keeps the mission moving forward.
Founder Patrick Arnold launched the organization and the movement behind it, stepping away in late 2024 once that foundation was firmly in place. Since then, the team has carried the work forward. This year, the Board decided the strongest next step was to close the organization and grant our remaining funds directly to partner organizations in India, Mongolia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Indonesia, the people already leading this work in their own communities.
Check out the work of these organizations: Breathe Mongolia - Clean Air Coalition NGO / Агаарын харуул ТББ, Ecopeace Teen Cafe, Green-Kenya, Hudefo, and Harvest Plastic Lombok.
The movement was always bigger than any one organization. Through the Green Leaders Academy curriculum, tens of thousands of young leaders were equipped with the skills to take effective action and that generation is still out there, leading.
Our Board has always been made up of committed members who believe, without question, in the power of young people to change the world for the better. That belief doesn't end with this chapter.
There's still much work to be done. But we look forward to it, with optimism, with action, and with real confidence in a future defined by abundance.
10 Billion Strong is closing but the work isn't. We're grateful to everyone who built this with us, and we're excited to watch where it goes next.
