Dear Community Partners,

President Green's office recently relaunched the Rams Settlement public engagement page (see the lonks below) so residents can learn more about Board Bill 22 and share their feedback through a survey.

So far, more than 400 residents have submitted their feedback. Because these funds will impact communities across the city, we’re asking for your help sharing the survey with your networks.

The President's office will produce a public report shortly after the survey closes on May 27th to ensure elected officials understand the views of their constituents and other stakeholders.

Also, the first hearing on Board Bill 22 will take place on Tuesday, May 26 at 11:00 am during the HUDZ Committee meeting. At least two additional hearings will follow in the coming weeks, including one evening meeting held in the community. Details will be posted on the Aldermanic Calendar once they are confirmed.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best,

Yusuf Daneshyar

We’re excited to officially welcome two outstanding new members to the HPNA Board of Directors — Dr. Jazell Thomas and Dr. Matt Fritts!

Both were unanimously voted in at our regularly scheduled community meeting on Saturday, February 27th, and we couldn’t be more excited about what they bring to our leadership team.

Dr. Jazell Thomas, Coordinator of School Counselors and Social Workers, brings deep experience in student support services, mental health advocacy, and systems-level leadership. Her work centers on strengthening individuals and families, building strong support networks, and creating environments where people can thrive — all of which are invaluable as we continue working to uplift and stabilize our neighborhood. Her perspective will help ensure that community well-being remains at the forefront of our efforts.

Dr. Matt Fritts, of the Department of Physics at Washington University, brings a thoughtful, analytical lens along with experience in research, problem-solving, and institutional collaboration. His background reflects a strong commitment to education, innovation, and strategic thinking — assets that will support informed decision-making and long-term planning as HPNA continues to grow and evolve.

Together, they strengthen our board with expertise in education, community wellness, research, and strategic leadership.

Please join us in giving Dr. Thomas and Dr. Fritts a warm welcome. Their unanimous appointment is a reflection of the confidence our community has in their leadership. We are encouraged and energized as we prepare to move the neighborhood forward — together.
