St. Louis Ecovillage Network

St. Louis Ecovillage Network Supporting the formation of ecovillages throughout the St. Louis area.

Our goal is to lessen our ecological footprint through sharing resources and creating community, and we embrace different types of ecovillage projects with that goal in mind. We meet for monthly potlucks and periodically tour potential ecovillage sites and neighborhoods. We seek to create diverse communities that are broadly inclusive across race, age, income, class, religion and sexual orientation.

Hi Folks!

Long time no see! We've been busy over at the Hidden Alley Ranch getting things ready for an anticipated opening as early as Summer of 2024. I have attached the flier we have been sending around. If you or anyone you know might be interested in living in community, please fill out our google form.

The space we are offering is a three bedroom/2-bath house. We hope to fill the available space with someone who is excited about both community living and building this project with us. For the first 6 months, occupants will have a standard rental lease, after which they can apply for full membership and start building equity. Rental rates will be decided soon, and membership rates are based on income, and will be calculated prior to the end of the 6-month trial period.

Please pass this along if this makes you think of someone. The co-op will be conducting interviews throughout the Winter and Spring months.

It’s the first time a major city has attempted to put doughnut theory into action on a local level

I'm still getting grocery bags of American persimmons from the tree closest to my house. It's January! I'm surprised. Also, daffodils are coming up next to my back door.
