Uplifting families of children facing unexpected medical diagnoses. Catherine Cares’ services impact families in numerous ways.

Catherine Cares partners with hospitals to provide Heartbeat Bears and Companion Crew animals to families of children who receive unexpected medical diagnoses. Our heartbeat bears are provided to families who receive a life threatening diagnosis. In addition, our gift card services helps to alleviate the burden preparing a meal can be on a family who is paralyzed by the shock and devastation a dia

gnosis can bring. Our gift card packages give families hope. We want families to know regardless of the outcome of the diagnosis, they will come out on the other side. They may be forever changed, but they will be able to smile again. We received our IRS non-profit status in late March 2015. We currently provide gift cards to 4 hospitals in St. Louis, MO (Mercy Hospital, Cardinal Glennon, St. Louis Children's Hospital, Missouri Baptist Hospital) and Cincinnati Fetal Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
