In his new role as Program Coordinator Intern, he will bring a wealth of knowledge and skills as an artist, creative and chef. Last year Zion teamed up with Chef Queenie to create some incredible meals during our summer camping trip in Cuba, MO. Show him some love! ❤️‍🔥💪🏾🙏🏾

We are excited to welcome Latitia to the staff! Since 2022 we have partnered with her catering company, . They have prepared so many amazing meals for events, our board, staff and other stakeholders, as well as taught cooking classes for TSI crew. Looking forward to growing the development team, building new relationships and strengthening our existing partnerships. Show some love!

If Ujima is pulling up, we are definitely eating good! (IYKYK) Shoutout to Siddik and for pulling up on us last minute for an amazing cooking class this past weekend. We enjoyed some jalapeño poppers, kale salad and hibiscus tea! I ate mine before I could take a picture. 😅

We missed you but you were definitely there in spirit! Looking forward to collaborating this summer!

We are looking for Youth Board Members to join the Ujima leadership team! Are you a young adult looking for professional development opportunities? Networking? Are you passionate about food justice, environmental stewardship or youth empowerment? Interested in attending local or regional conferences?

Compensation is $400/month, based on 20 hours of support per month. Member terms are 6 months OR 1 year based on interest and capacity. Candidates are ideally 18-24 years old and live in the greater St. Louis area.

Responsibilities include

- Collaboration with Ujima board and staff with grant writing as well as fundraising event planning
- Attending monthly The Sunflower Institute 2026 Programming and support with program strategic planning
- Attend monthly Ujima board meetings
- Support at Ujima’s urban farm site ( 👨🏾‍🌾)

We just booked our camping trip for Labor Day Weekend! This year we are returning to Eminence and floating on the Current River like back in 2023.

Ujima is hiring this quarter! Join our team as we continue our fight for food justice, environmental stewardship and youth empowerment! 🌱🌻🌎

Job Openings:

- Development Manager (Part-Time): We are looking for a team member to manage our annual fundraiser event, build relationships with existing donors, formalize a new monthly giving program, support ED with grant research and foundation outreach as well as other relevant development tasks. Base salary is $40K, paid out monthly for 12 months.

- Administrative Assistant (Part-Time): We are looking for team members to support the Executive Director with managing calendars, scheduling, and meeting logistics, monitor shared inboxes, organize and maintain digital files, shared drives and support staff and leadership team as needed. Compensation is $25/hour.

- Alumni Interns: (Must be a TSI 2021-2025 Graduate) We are looking for interns to support our urban farm, teach agriculture workshops to youth and other Ujima programming support. Compensation is $20/hour.
