Today, we mark the 97th birthday of Anne Frank—a young Jewish girl whose words continue to illuminate the world.

As Shabbat begins tonight, we light our candles and remember her light. Her hope, her resilience, and her faith in humanity live on in all of us.

"In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." — Anne Frank

In this week's "From the Desk of Danny," he reflects on the moments we almost miss — when we're too busy calculating, planning, and worrying to notice the blessings already in front of us.

Through a personal family milestone and a surprising detail hiding in plain sight, Danny shares what it looks like when we slow down long enough to let life's quiet holiness reveal itself.

In just 60 seconds at The Men's Event last week, attendees raised $66,807 for Campers2Gether at Camp Ben Frankel, inspired by an $18,000 match from the Lubin-Green Foundation, for a total of $84,807.

Campers2Gether supports youth impacted by the horrors of October 7, giving them the opportunity to build meaningful connections with Jewish peers and find comfort, resilience, and joy through the Jewish camp experience. Because of our community's generosity, more Israeli teens will have that opportunity this summer.

To everyone who attended, donated, and showed up for our global Jewish community: thank you. Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱

We are so proud of our four National Women’s Philanthropy Board members, Patty Bloom, Nancy Green, Debbie Lefton and Shana Singer, who are in New York City this week for the annual National Women’s Philanthropy Board Retreat!

Alongside 180 women leaders from across the country, they are spending these few days learning, connecting, sharing ideas, and strengthening the relationships that power Jewish women’s philanthropy. Their dedication, leadership, and commitment to our community help ensure a vibrant Jewish future—both here at home and across the globe.

We are grateful for all they do and love seeing our community represented on the national stage. Wishing them an inspiring and meaningful retreat!

Coach Bruce Pearl sat down with Tamar Sher of Sports on 4 while he was in St. Louis for Jewish Federation of St. Louis Men's Event—and he didn't hold back. 🎙️

College sports. Leadership. Faith. And why he took the Auburn men's basketball team to Israel—a trip that changed everything beyond the court.

This is the kind of conversation we brought Coach Pearl to St. Louis for! Watch the full interview:

College basketball analyst and former coach Bruce Pearl sat down with Sports on 4’s Tamar Sher to talk about the shifting state of college sports, his leadership approach, and the role faith plays in his life and work.

Before Coach Bruce Pearl took the stage at the Jewish Federation of St. Louis Men’s Event, he first made a stop at JCC West. He sat down with the JCC Maccabi Basketball team and their families to talk basketball, teamwork, faith, and Israel.

The JCC Maccabi Games bring Jewish teens together from around the world—not just to compete, but to connect. Having someone like Coach Pearl in the room, someone who lives those values out loud, was something these kids won't forget.

Thank you, Coach, for making time for the next generation. This is what Jewish community looks like. 💙🏀

Mazel tov to Elliott Kleiman and Matt Specter on their selection to the National Young Leadership Cabinet! 🎉

For over 60 years, this prestigious program has shaped Jewish communal leaders across North America—and now two more St. Louisans are carrying that legacy forward.

Elliott and Matt join a tradition of more than 70 St. Louis alumni who have gone before them, and we couldn't be prouder to see our community continue to grow, lead, and inspire on a national stage.

The future of leadership in the St. Louis Jewish community is bright!
