Now THIS was a Wednesday. 💙

Today we had a FULL house and community care firing on all cylinders. 🚿🍔✂️🩺

Shower season officially kicked off with InExcelsis and the Dignity on Wheels mobile showers rolling back in! Progressive AME Zion Church was outside cooking lunch fresh on-site smelling up the whole block in the best possible way. 😮‍💨 The St. Louis Black Harm Reduction Coalition came through with accu-pressure for a little stress relief and Vivent was here helping folks check their status and take care of their health.

This is what care without conditions looks like. Come get a shower. Grab lunch. Maybe catch a free haircut on select Wednesdays. Get tested. Breathe for a second. Laugh a little. The whole kit and caboodle, really.

We are SO grateful for every partner who shows up beside us to make this happen. No one trying to outshine the next. Just people locking arms and making sure our community is cared for with dignity, compassion, and love. Like a well-oiled mutual aid machine with a little chaos and a lot of heart. 💙 ok a lot of chaos but hey that’s where the fun is! 🤪

🚿 InExcelsis will now be here the SECOND & FOURTH Wednesday of every month from 11 AM–1 PM providing free showers.

Come as you are. We’ll save you a plate. 💙

Today is National Hepatitis C Testing Day 💙

We’ve got the St. Louis City Department of Health in the building offering FREE HIV/STI/Hep C testing while lunch is rolling and community is happening.

Knowing your status is cool. Taking care of yourself is cool. Getting tested regularly is cool af. Period.

That is harm reduction — showing up for yourself and your community before there’s a crisis. No shame. No judgment. Just real people taking real steps to stay healthy, informed and alive.

Pull up, grab lunch, get tested, take care of you. That’s what community looks like. 💙

Rain or shine the community still showed up!

Today at the NAMI Mental Health Walk, the skies absolutely opened up on us — and somehow we made it under the tent just in time before the downpour hit hard. Honestly, perfect timing because whew 🌧️😂

Even with the rain, the turnout was incredible and the energy never slowed down. We had so many meaningful conversations, shared resources, connected with community members, and got to stand alongside people who care deeply about mental health, recovery, and supporting one another.

Days like today are a reminder that community always shows up — even soaked to the bone.

Huge thank you to NAMI for having us and to everyone who stopped by the MoNetwork table today. Y’all made a rainy day feel sunny anyway 💙☀️

The data is finally catching up. 💙

New survey results from Faces & Voices of Recovery continue to show what we already know here at MoNetwork every single day: recovery is real, recovery is powerful and people are finally beginning to understand that healing does not look the same for everyone.

In 2004, only 38% of Americans knew someone in recovery. Today? 53%.
In 2004, only 7% said recovery had personally impacted their life. Today? 31%.

The recovery community didn’t just survive — it grew. It became visible. It became our neighbors, coworkers, parents, leaders and friends.

At MoNetwork we believe people deserve dignity, compassion and support at every stage of their journey. Whether someone is actively using substances, staying safer, reconnecting with themselves, entering treatment, rebuilding their life or simply surviving another day — they matter.

We will never stop telling our stories because visibility saves lives. Community saves lives. Love without conditions saves lives. 💙

Tag someone whose journey inspires you.

There’s something powerful about being part of a space where people are supported exactly as they are.

At the core of MoNetwork has always been connection, trust, and meeting people with compassion instead of judgment. Creating a space where people feel safe enough to ask for help, share a meal, grab supplies, connect with others, or simply take a breath and know they’re welcome matters deeply to us.

We’re excited to see our Executive Director, Michelle Charbonnier, featured in this article sharing more about the heart behind MoNetwork and the work we do every day. Her belief in supporting people as they are has helped create a space where trust, connection, and real community can grow.

We’re proud of how far MoNetwork has come and grateful for every participant, staff member, volunteer, and community partner who continues building this with us every day. 💙

Today’s lunch was hosted by one of our amazing moms, Jill, as we took time to remember and celebrate Nick on his birthday. 💙

Birthdays after loss carry a different kind of weight. They hold love, memories, laughter, heartbreak, and all the moments that still live on in the people left behind. Today we honor Nick the best way we know how — with community, food, connection, and love.

Happy Birthday, Nick. You are remembered. 🕊️

And a huge thank you to Jill for sharing this day with us and continuing to pour love into others even through grief. That kind of strength and heart deserves to be recognized. 🕊️💙🎂😇
