Happy Summer Solstice ☀️🌻✨
Today is all about appreciating the light.
For years, the Sun has been a strong synch for me. After working third shift for far too long, walking out to my car as the sun was rising reminded me that I would get through whatever challenge was waiting for me. No matter how hard things felt, the Sun kept coming back, and somehow, so did I.
Today marks the longest day of the year and the official beginning of summer. In many traditions, this is Litha—a celebration of abundance, growth, and the fullness of the Sun.
The brightest day of the year is also a turning point. The Holly King triumphs over the Oak King, and the wheel keeps turning. Nothing stays the same. Everything is temporary. Life moves in cycles, and there is wisdom in that.
In my practice, the Solstice is about gratitude for the abundance that's growing and blooming around me. The friendships, the connections, and the community. The blessings and support that help sustain the dreams we're still piecing together. And the fact that we're still here, still showing up, and still finding reasons to hope—that alone is something to be grateful for.
Sometimes magic is found in sitting outside with your morning coffee, feeling the warmth of the Sun on your face, and whispering, "Thank you."
So wherever you are on your journey, I hope you take a few moments today to celebrate the light—not just the one shining overhead, but the one you've been tending inside yourself.
Merry Litha, witches. May your day be filled with sunshine, laughter, and magic. 🖤☀️🌿
