V-Day Wash U is a local chapter of an international movement dedicated to ending violence against women and girls around the world. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop violence against women and girls, including r**e, battery, in**st, female ge***al mutilation (FGM), and s*x slavery. On Wash U's campus, we put on events such as F-Week in the fall (October of 2012) and The Va**na Monologues—one of Wash U's most loved annual performances—to bring more awareness to the violence women face in the world every day and to benefit the international organization.
