Intimate Partner Violence doesn’t always leave visible scars.
It can look like control, isolation, fear, manipulation, or silence.
Awareness starts when we name it, and believe survivors when they speak.

Awareness saves lives!

💜 Remembering the Women We’ve Lost

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and this month alone, far too many women in and from the St. Louis area have lost their lives as a result of intimate partner violence — many while trying to leave and start anew.

Their stories are heartbreaking reminders that leaving is often the most dangerous time for a survivor. It takes immense courage to walk away from abuse, and no one should lose their life for choosing freedom.

As we honor the lives of those we’ve lost, let’s continue to stand beside survivors — offering compassion, safety, and hope. Let’s use our voices to raise awareness, advocate for change, and support organizations working every day to provide protection, housing, and healing.

Together, we can make a difference. 💜
