We had an amazing time learning all about the Mighty Mississippi's History during our Homeschool Day session yesterday! It was a fun-filled afternoon of discovering the changes in both the ecology and human history of the Mississippi River and discussing the numerous ways St. Louisans have relied on its resources!

We can't believe how fast Camp Fins & Friends has swam by and what an amazing summer it was! 🦈🪼🐢🐙

Over the course of the summer, 200 campers got to explore the Aquarium behind-the-scenes, engage in animal encounters, enjoy the Union Station attractions and everything in-between! Programs like camp are an important part of our mission, allowing us to provide youth with the opportunity to discover marine animals and ecosystems that we don't find here in the Midwest.

Thank you to all of our volunteers who participated in our last cleanup as well. Together, we collected almost 40 bags of trash, amounting to around 620 pounds of debris prevented from entering the Mississippi River!

We are looking forward to continuing our series as a part of our commitment to water stewardship in just 3 short weeks!

The Aquarium Foundation had an amazing time hosting volunteers from Purina as they helped us revamp the riverfront at North Riverfront Park! Thank you for including us in Purina Cares Day and for your hard work in preventing around 850 pounds of trash from entering the Mighty Mississippi. Every bag collected allows us to have a greater, positive impact in creating a stronger and more sustainable community!
