Got a few comments on wearing hearing adds after some close TV zoom-ins this week. I cannot recommend hearing assistance enough if you need it!

Don’t let vanity get in the way of your ability to hear your kids, talk to your significant other or friends, to be able to follow along in meetings, or to watch your favorite show without blasting everyone else out of the house.

They’ve been a life changer for me for the better and I got them at age 36. You’re never too young to start hearing well.

Greater Saint Louis Chapter is excited to present Jennifer Mc Bride on March 14,2026 at 1:00 pm via zoom Her topic is “ Speaking from the Heart- An interactive session on navigating the emotional impacts of hearing loss.”
There is great power in community when people facing similar challenges have the courage to express their emotions as they integrate changes into their lives. Although we share the experience of hearing loss, it is as unique as our fingerprints. This interactive session will focus on exploring what has helped you and where do you need help dealing with the emotional impacts of hearing loss? Come share your experience and gain ideas, insights and support from others on a similar journey.

Jennifer McBride, MA, is vice president of the Denver HLAA Chapter. After 45 years of listening in her professional life, first as a graphic designer and the last 25 with grieving people in a non-profit grief support center she helped to create, she was diagnosed with SSCD. Surgery cured the vertigo but left her with single-sided deafness, hyperacusis and tinnitus. Since receiving a cochlear implant 3 years ago Jennifer has reached out to others dealing with lives forever changed. There is nothing like community and being with others who “get it” when we are dealing with hearing loss.
