The Tesseract Theatre Company

St. Louis theatre has lost one of its familiar voices.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Bob Wilcox, whose thoughtful reviews and longtime support of St. Louis theatre meant so much to our community. Bob had a way of showing up for theatre and making artists feel seen.

We are grateful for the memories and for the many stories you helped us share.

Rest peacefully. We’ll miss you.

From daring new works to timeless classics..

Over the years, that's meant premiering “My Heart Says Go” - a new hip-hop musical with music and lyrics by Jorge Rivera-Herrans (EPIC: The Musical), featured as part of Tesseract's New Musical Festival. It's also meant producing “Steel Magnolias” with an all-POC cast, bringing new depth and resonance to a story audiences thought they knew.

None of it happens without the people who show up for it - the casts, the crews, the audiences who trust us with their evenings.

In ONE WEEK on Monday, September 21st, we're gathering to celebrate those stories and where this journey goes next.

Join us, and help us keep telling stories worth telling.

Every story we tell, we tell because it matters.

"THE MAD ONES" is a crowd-pleasing choice after positive response to "Kinky Boots," "Ordinary Days," and "The Last Five Years," yet still taking risks and meeting challenges. — Lynn Venhaus, PopLifeSTL

Epic in scope and intimate in ex*****on, Tesseract Theatre Company's "THE INHERITANCE" Part I is a monumental achievement. — Lynn Venhaus, PopLifeSTL

Behind every story is a cast, a crew, a community... the people who made it real.

Join us as we celebrate the stories we've told, the people who told them with us, and the stories still ahead at our Gala, Monday, September 21st.
