“One Year Later: A Weekend of Service” showed what is possible when a community comes together with purpose.

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Regional Business Council, corporate partners, community organizations, volunteers, and residents came together across tornado-impacted neighborhoods to support families still rebuilding one year after the devastating May 2025 tornado.

Throughout the weekend, teams worked to remove debris, clear lots, demolish unsafe structures, support home recovery efforts, connect residents to jobs and resources, distribute food and essential supplies, and deliver resources directly to elderly and disabled residents in tornado-damaged neighborhoods.

The weekend also included a live tornado recovery telethon in partnership with KSDK, and a community dumpster drop-off initiative supported by Junk King.

Thank you to every partner, donor, volunteer, supporter, and resident who stood with us throughout the weekend. While the weekend of service has concluded, the work continues — and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis remains committed to helping this community recover, rebuild, and move forward together.
