Today is our angel Mary Beth's 29th birthday. We will be celebrating her birthday tonight at Our Lady of the Pillar when we hand out the 13th annual Mary Beth Ricken Sportsmanship Awards during the 5pm mass. The sportsmanship award is given to one player on each of OLP's soccer teams who is voted to be the best sport by their teammates. Over the years, more than 150 children have received the award. Thank you OLP Men's Club for helping us keep Mary Beth's memory alive in such a fitting way. Happy Birthday, MB!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know that 1 in 330 children will be diagnosed with cancer before age 20? In the United States, 1 out of every 5 of these children will not survive. Most of the children who do survive have long-term side effects as a result of their cancer treatments.
We never thought we would be a family whose lives would be forever changed by having a child with cancer. Donate today to help us support other families whose lives are forever changed by having a child with cancer. We are looking to expand our programs to help even more children and families of children with cancer in the future. If you would like to get involved, email [email protected]. Thank you for helping keep Mary Beth's dream alive by supporting children and families in need in the St. Louis area!
