You may have heard the saying "It's expensive to be poor."

Come understand why.

The Immigrant Service Providers Network (ISPN) and the Ferguson Church of the Nazarene invite you to participate in a Poverty Simulation on September 19 from 9am-Noon.

Poverty simulations are an excellent way to experientially learn more about the day-to-day situations low income individuals encounter.

The event will be introduced and debriefed so that you get as much from the activity as you can.

The event will be held at the Ferguson Church of the Nazarene and is free to attend with advanced registration.

We need a minimum of 50 participants to effectively create this learning opportunity. Our registration deadline will be September 12 to determine if we have the minimum number of participants to proceed.

Free social work CEUs will be available for ISPN members (a $45 value)!

If you have been interested in joining ISPN, now is a great time to do that.

To register go to this link- https://forms.gle/w6GdW9sWRtNUJiUWA

See flyer for more information.

This Juneteenth, ISPN honors the enduring legacy and memory of enslaved Black Americans and the incredible resilience of those who survived the horrors of chattel slavery.

Today, we don't just remember the past; we celebrate a powerful truth: liberation is possible for all of us. It's a reminder that hope triumphs, and freedom's light can shine even in the darkest of times.

Let's continue to dream big, beautiful freedom dreams together, pushing forward for a world where true liberation is a reality for everyone.

Yesterday, June 4th , 2025, the St. Louis Rapid Response Coalition hosted a press conference sounding the alarm on the increased risks of arrests faced by immigrant neighbors who have long been complying with the laws.
Immigrants in St. Louis and their families are living in a climate of uncertainty and fear due to increased ICE enforcement.

STOP THE DEPORTATIONS COMMUNITY RALLY !!!

Join the St. Louis Rapid Response Coalition tomorrow Friday June 6th for a community rally. This is a public rally and we invite the community to join. We're raising the alarm about recent shifts in immigration enforcement that are unjustly and swiftly deporting immigrants who have long been complying with the system.
Join us to speak up for our neighbors, our friends and their families.

🚨 Community: We are working hard to keep everyone safe, but please be mindful of potential risks
