Le Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, 69 ans et natif de Chicago aux USA, élu comme le 267ième pape, premier pape Americain ce jeudi 8 Mai 2025. Il a ainsi pris le nom de “Pape Leon 14”
Les cardinaux sont arrivés à cette decision après plus de 24 heures et des multiples tours de votes.

The cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church elected Robert Francis Prevost, 69 years old, as their 267th pontiff on Thursday, ending a two-day conclave in Rome with the election of the first pope from the United States. He took the name Pope Leo XIV.

Gedeon Shango, Congolese student-athlete died in a car accident in Cabool, Missouri.
Shango, former Tiger of MarshalltownCommunity College in the state of IOWA and currently playing for William Woods University basketball team in Fulton Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene by Texas County Sheriff Scott Lindsey at 12:51 a.m. Monday October 14th 2024.

Shango, ancien Tigre du Marshalltown Community College dans l'État de Iowa et jouant actuellement pour l'équipe de basketball de l'Université William Woods à Fulton Missouri, a été déclaré mort sur scène par le shérif du Texas County, Scott Lindsey, à 00h51 lundi 14 Octobre 2024.

DR. Congo appoints its first female prime minister !

President Felix Tshisekedi on Monday appointed the country’s first female prime minister, fulfilling a campaign promise and taking an important step toward the formation of a new government after his reelection late last year.

Former planning minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka now she is stepping into the role at a time of worsening violence in the country’s mineral-rich east of our Country.

Our former planning minister Tuluka promised to work toward peace and development in her first speech on TV . Following her nomination, it could take time before a new government is formed as the process requires intensive negotiations with many political parties.

Prime Minister Judith Tuluka :

“My thoughts go out to the east and to all corners of the country, which today are facing conflicts with enemies who are sometimes hidden,” she said, referring to the conflict that involves many armed groups, including some believed to be backed by rebels’ military. “I’m thinking of all these people, and my heart goes out to them.”
