The L.I.F.E. Center for Independent Living would like to remind everyone of the November support group meeting provided through the Brain Injury Association of Missouri.
What is the Brain Injury Association and this support group about?
It is: Brotherhood and Sisterhood of survivors of brain injury and caregivers sharing their struggles and hopes through this unexpected journey of brain injury, whether acquired within the brain (ABI) or received through trauma to the head (TBI)
Respecting and relating to one another through the difficulties associated with brain injury
Accepting our “new normal” as we take each baby step forward over time
Informing one another of our progress as we learn and grow through injury and experience
Nurturing and Non-judgmental, encouraging one another through our meetings and correspondences throughout the month
Safe and confidential place to share the struggles with those who “get it” – both survivors and caregivers

They meet on the first Tuesday of each month.
