The Grannie Annie Family Story Celebration

The Grannie Annie Family Story Celebration The Grannie Annie invites students to discover, write, and share stories from their family's history.

01/01/2026

As you may be aware, we recently reached the point where we were no longer able to continue The Grannie Annie.

The Grannie Annie’s twenty published collections of historical family stories (including 571 stories written by young people) and related resources have been passed on to the Missouri Historical Society Library & Research Center for further sharing through the library and associated museums. (https://mohistory.org)

PDFs of all twenty published collections, the topical index of Grannie Annie stories, a comprehensive family-story-writing resource, and archived copies of The Grannie Annie’s website will continue to be available digitally through Internet Archive, a nonprofit website and free resource. To find these PDF books and resources, go to https://archive.org, put “The Grannie Annie Family Story Celebration” in the larger Search window, click on “Search metadata,” and then click “GO." To see archives of The Grannie Annie’s website, put “thegrannieannie.org” in the Search window and click on “Search archived web sites.”

We sincerely thank you all for your support of The Grannie Annie over the past twenty years. It has been a joy!
