Hi folks. Please know that Poetry Scores is not dead. It is in a long hibernation, yes, but not dead. The folks behind it are still around and have just gone through life events that took the focus off of Poetry Scores as a communal art project. Dinner a while back had the old juices flowing and there is still hope for more projects in the future. Stick with us. We will get back on the horse in time. Happy holidays to all! Perhaps 2019 will see us surface again.

Poetry Scores house band Three Fried Men started rehearsals tonight for our May 26 show at the Tap Room scoring Marine Petrossian, who will perform her poems before the scores, visiting from Armenia.

We did our songwriting retreat on the boardwalk at Redondo Beach yesterday, one of our rituals, finding sanctuary at a fish market on the boardwalk when we discovered that the Korean restaurant bar that always harbored us recently closed.

Poetry Scores Russia's first set of projects will work with Siberian poetry. They are taking some time to finalize, given holidays and elections and Arctic winters. We will have news soon. In the meantime, this is a sketch of an ancient Siberian drum handle painted on a 78.
