One of the most anticipated parts of Kookin’ for Kids each year is the incredible lineup of culinary tastings from some of St. Louis' favorite restaurants. From savory bites to sweet treats, there’s always something new to discover and plenty to come back for seconds of!

Morning circle is always a great way for our youth to start the day, but when it’s with Lauren from Crisis Aid International, the vibes are just right! 🌞

In these conversations/lessons, our youth are given a space to connect, reflect, ask questions, and explore topics that matter in their lives. Life skills, current events, real challenges - they all come up in the circle, creating space for learning, sharing, and connection.

What starts as an activity often turns into confidence, clarity, and real momentum. Experiences like these help our youth build up everything they need to feel empowered at the CC and beyond. 💪

Full plates, great music, and a room full of people showing up for something bigger than themselves. Moments like these capture what this event is all about: generosity, community, and impact! What an incredible day at The Core Collective! 🏀✂️💙

Today, we proudly celebrated the official ribbon cutting and unveiling of our newly renovated basketball court alongside The Buddy Fund, our staff, and most importantly - our youth! This space is so much more than a basketball court; it’s a place where young people can build confidence, create positive memories, strengthen relationships, stay active, and simply enjoy being kids in a safe and welcoming environment.

We are deeply grateful to Tom and everyone at The Buddy Fund for their partnership and generosity. This court renovation was made possible through their investment in organizations across the St. Louis region that are creating meaningful impact for youth every day. 👏

We had a day filled with laughter, music, connection, great food, and celebration. We’re super excited to see the memories, mentorship, and moments that will happen on this court for years to come. 🤝

Behind every conversation, outreach visit, and moment of support at The Hub is a team deeply committed to showing up for young people in our community. 💜

Today, we want to recognize our incredible Street Outreach Team for the care, consistency, and compassion they bring to this work every single day. From meeting youth where they are to creating safe spaces for connection and support, this team continues to make a lasting impact across St. Louis. Through their work, The Hub continues to serve as a safe and welcoming space where youth and young adults can access snacks, hygiene items, resources, support services, and meaningful community connections.

The Hub is open MONDAY-FRIDAY, 3PM - 7PM for young people (ages 10-19) who may need a place to turn. Thank you to Ms. E, Stephanie, Sierra, and Al for helping make that possible. 👏

The third System of Care - St. Louis Region Convening took place today, and we’re leaving the day feeling incredibly grateful for every organization, community partner, speaker, advocate, and attendee who helped make it meaningful. 💙

This work is only possible because of the people willing to come to the table, share their experiences, collaborate across systems, and remain committed to building stronger and more equitable support for children, youth, young adults, and families throughout the St. Louis region. Today’s conversations, connections, and shared vision are a reminder of what can happen when community leads the way. Shout out to Saint Louis Mental Health Board, Vision for Children at Risk, St. Louis County Children's Service Fund, and The Rome Group for helping make this convening possible!

We also want to extend a special thank you to Karen Cummings, Elizabeth Pickard, Poli Rijos, Nicole McKoy, Dylan Dexter, Xinyue Zhang, Jessica Meyers, and Denise Atimango for the time, care, coordination, and dedication poured into making today possible. Your hard work behind the scenes and continued commitment to this initiative helped create a meaningful and collaborative space for our community. 🤝
