The Core Collective at Saint Vincent

In 2025, The Core Collective served 1,041 young people through our programs and services (a 135% increase from the number served in 2021).

Behind that number are young people connecting with housing, counseling, case management, life skills, recreation, and opportunities designed to help them move forward. Support can look different for every young person. It might look like a quiet place to read or study, access to technology, space to play and connect with others, or guidance from someone who’s ready to listen. As our reach continues to grow, so does our commitment to investing in the transformational power of youth. 💙

The lights are ON at The Hub! 💡 Join us on Thursday, October 22 from 3:30 - 6:30 PM for Lights On After School, an open house and celebration of the opportunities afterschool programs create for young people!

We’ll have many fun activities and a gallery walk/open house throughout the afternoon. Additionally, we'll also be accepting donations of clothing, hygiene items, school supplies, and other essentials for the young people we serve. Come hang out, learn more about The Hub, and help us celebrate the importance of safe, welcoming spaces for youth in our community! 💙

Partnerships like this help strengthen the work happening every day at The Core Collective by creating safe spaces, expanding access to resources, and supporting young people as they build toward stability, independence, and brighter futures. When us and the community come together, it’s ALWAYS a good time! 🎷

We loved opening our campus this past weekend to friends, families, neighbors, and more for the Normandy Jazz Fest. From the music and conversations, to the laughter happening all around campus, it was a great reminder of what can happen when there’s a space built for people to come together.

The Core Collective is home to so many different things… youth programming, resources, recreation, events, partnerships.. but most importantly, moments just like this one. Our campus is meant to be used, shared, and filled with community.

Thank you Normandy Police Department as always and to everyone who came out and helped make the evening such a special one. 🎶

Do you ever wonder what our agency looked like 66 years ago? 👀⏪

These photos take us back to when our organization was known as Saint Vincent Home, The German St. Vincent Orphan Association. Different generations, different needs, and different approaches. What remains is the same commitment to showing up for young people.

A lot has changed since these photos were taken, but there’s something special about looking back and realizing just how much history lives within this campus. Today, as The Core Collective at Saint Vincent, our work continues to evolve alongside the needs of the youth and community around us. Here’s to honoring where we’ve been while continuing to build what comes next. 💙

We were SO excited to welcome our friends from the Jack in the Box Foundation and their St. Louis team back to The Core Collective for lunch today. This continued partnership is a massive investment in the support, resources, and opportunities that help young people build stability and move confidently toward what’s next.

We know it’s been a minute, but the HUB (drop-in center) has returned after a brief break! We’re super excited to welcome youth (10-19) back into a space built for recreation, support, and whatever comes next! 💪

📝 DID YOU KNOW: Youth ages (17-19) can stop by for help creating or updating their resumes, whether they’re preparing for their first job, looking for a new opportunity, or just want to make sure they’re putting their best foot forward.

Come hang out, get connected, and take advantage of the resources available to you at The Hub. We’re glad to have you back! (OPEN 3PM-7PM, ON WEEKDAYS)

One of the awesome things that our Transitional Living Program (TLP) offers is the Tech for Life Launchpad. What if you could practice for some of life’s biggest moments before having to face them in the real world? 👀

Through Tech for Life, youth in our TLP can use technology to practice important real-life skills in a safe, engaging environment. They can work through driving simulations, prepare for job interviews, explore creative expression through painting and drawing, and even experience things that may otherwise feel out of reach (like traveling to space as an astronaut). 🤩

Opportunities like these create space to learn, build confidence, and explore what might be possible for their future. We’re grateful to Gateway to Innovation for their generous support of our TLP and for helping make the Tech for Life Launchpad possible!
