Passback is excited and very grateful to be an awardee for a grant from The Saigh Foundation!

“The Saigh Foundation works to enhance the quality of life for children and youth in the St. Louis metropolitan area by supporting educational and health-related charitable institutions and organizations. Established in 2000, the Foundation continues the philanthropic legacy of Fred Saigh, a St. Louis lawyer, businessman, real estate investor and owner of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team from 1947-1953.”

With their support, hundreds more kids on our waiting list in St. Louis will be equipped with the sports gear they need to play!

Special thanks to Julie Hantman for the application support and kindness!

Systems change is a team sport.

I want to take a moment and thank the AMAZING Passback board members, committee members, employees, and volunteers. As a small yet growing nonprofit, you all are vital to the functioning of this organization, and I am so grateful for your expertise, support and care.

Thank you for helping us create a circular economy for sports gear so every kid can play! ⚽️♻️

With your help, together, since founding 2 fiscal years ago, we have created the following estimated impact:
-$500,000 worth of sports gear given away (In-Kind donations from Passback to other nonprofits serving athletes who need it)
-11+ ton of plastic and metal items recirculated into the economy
-$22M+ in community preventative health care cost savings
-7,000+ kids directly equipped with gear

Please help us to spread the word, donate and share our campaign this year! Link in bio - https://mtyc.co/9uqvjf

Champion highlight 🏆🏆

Huge shout out to Kayla Sellers (and her dad, Chris Sellers) for hosting the most incredible collection drive to help more kids play! In partnership with Mo Rush and the Whitfield School - they collected more than two SUVS worth of some seriously cool stuff.

Not only did Kayla plan, host and organize all this by herself, she went above and beyond and made an impact report. Check it out at https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/f2da4b51e4e54551875a40541bb9c4df

SWMD St. Louis-Jefferson and Missouri Department of Natural Resources for the WIN! ♻️⚽️ Passback is incredibly thankful and proud to announce that we were awarded $47,000 for the next round of government contractual work to help keep sports gear in play!!

Sports gear is almost all plastic or metal items, and the vast majority of it does not reach its full lifecycle potential.

Thank you to the SWMD team for your belief in what we do. We 💚 you.

Hit us up if you’re an athletic director, sports operations officer, coach, or sports manufacturer/retailer. A Passback Official bin can help with your surplus sports gear and lost and found. 👀 Turn your surplus gear into smiles and impactful data for your company.

We are very excited to announce that Passback will be participating in the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Green Business Challenge 2026. We even leveled up from last year! According to challenge leader, Jaclyn Jezik, “We are moving Passback up to the Leader level since you guys knocked the Apprentice Level out of the park!” 🏟️😈

We are very grateful as our participation is sponsored again by Edward Jones, thanks to our amazing board member, Lisa Johnson. 💚

The 2026 St. Louis Sports Gear Collection Drive has officially launched! More than 12 schools in the St. Louis area are coming together to collaborate on a mission to help more kids play! (This photo features the schools who had gear right away to donate, but the collection lasts through November.) See Chaminade’s football team help me load the car? 💪💪💪

The school to collect the most (by weight) wins, but really we are all winners when we are creating a circular economy for sports gear. Winner gets a media feature + 1 MVP receives custom shoes by the very talented 🔥🔥

This initiative is funded in thanks to the St. Louis Jefferson Solid Waste Management and the MO Department of Natural Resources.

"On behalf of our 214 Boys and their families, I would like to say a very big 'thank you' to you all. We are very grateful for your gear donation in 2024 and it means so much to us to be alerted of more gear this year. ⚽

As you might not be aware of, we are located in Africa, Ghana to be precise. I am Logan, the founder and Director of the Club and I reside in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I ship all the gear I purchase or receive as donations to them in Ghana. These boys have the passion and love for sports, keeping them off the streets and giving them a goal or direction. We lack basic equipment to play and as the sole provider for these boys, it's a struggle for me to keep it up. Our numbers keep growing and the need for gear is vital." -Logan Fleischer, Director, AYIGBE TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB - ACADEMY

THANK YOU, Logan, for helping more kids play!
