How many times have you seen headlines claiming Israel "struck a school" in Gaza? Now ask yourself: what happens when evidence later emerges that Hamas operatives were using that same school?

Several locations initially reported by the BBC as schools or civilian shelters were later linked to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives through obituaries, memorial notices, and other publicly available evidence. While allegations against Israel often receive prominent coverage, subsequent information about terrorist activity at those sites receives far less attention.

If a building is described only as a "school," audiences are likely to see one story. If they learn that armed operatives were allegedly operating from that same location, they may see a very different one.

Jewish activists gathered outside The New York Times headquarters in Manhattan for the second time in recent weeks, accusing the newspaper of spreading anti-Israel narratives that put Jewish communities at risk.

Protesters chanted โ€œThe New York Times lies,โ€ โ€œShame on The New York Times,โ€ and โ€œWhen you lie, Jews die,โ€ while demanding the retraction of a controversial column alleging systematic sexual abuse of Palestinians in Israeli prisons. Demonstrators also called for the dismissal of columnist Nicholas Kristof, greater transparency surrounding the articleโ€™s publication, and staff training on anti-Zionism. The rally was organized by EndJewHatred and several advocacy groups formed in the aftermath of the October 7 Hamas attacks and the rise in antisemitic incidents across the United States.
