☘️ Domers making a difference in St. Louis!☘️

We’re proud to see four students from Notre Dame serving with Home Sweet Home this summer through the NDBridge program. By helping families furnish their homes and creating a welcoming experience for clients, Fiona, Contessa, Anneka, and Klara are putting Notre Dame’s mission of being a Force for Good into action.

We are excited to welcome four interns from the University of Notre Dame to Home Sweet Home this summer: Fiona, Contessa, Anneka, and Klara!

These students are participating in NDBridge, an eight-week immersive summer service-learning program for rising sophomores. Through the program, students are placed in communities around the world to serve local organizations, conduct research focused on the challenges facing marginalized communities, and present their findings at the end of the summer.

At Home Sweet Home, they will primarily be helping welcome clients, guide them through our warehouse, and assist as they select furniture and household items for their homes. Their support will help ensure every client has a positive and empowering experience as they shop for the essentials they need.

☘️ Explore a Different Side of St. Louis with Fellow Domers! ☘️

Join the Notre Dame Club of St. Louis for a special Saturday morning walk led by local Domer and attorney Emmett McAuliffe, featuring riverfront scenery, local history, and one of the region’s most overlooked gems, the Mississippi Greenway at Jefferson Barracks.

📍 Meet at the northernmost corner of the River City Casino parking lot

This easy, paved 2.8-mile out-and-back walk offers:

🚢 Up-close views of the Mississippi River, barges, and river traffic
🌳 A scenic stretch of the Mississippi Greenway
⭐ The Missouri Military Memorial
🏛️ Historic Jefferson Barracks landmarks
🦅 Excellent birdwatching opportunities
🎉 A visit to the St. Louis Area History Showcase, celebrating the 200th anniversary of Jefferson Barracks and the 250th anniversary of the United States

For those interested, an optional short detour provides access to the actual Mississippi riverbank.

After the walk, participants can enjoy breakfast, brunch, or lunch together at River City Casino or nearby neighborhood favorites.

🎁 Claver House Back-to-School Hygiene Drive
Throughout June and July, we will be collecting personal hygiene products for Claver House to distribute to local students in need.

Requested items include:
• Bar soap
• Body wash and lotion
• Deodorant
• Disposable washcloths
• Feminine hygiene products
• Travel-size Kleenex packs
• Razors and shave cream
• Shampoo
• Toothbrushes and toothpaste
• Wet wipes

Donations can be brought to the Happy Hour, Summer Picnic, and other Club events throughout June and July.

Honoring Notre Dame Heroes This Memorial Day ☘️🇺🇸☘️

In honor of Memorial Day, the Notre Dame Senior Alumni has shared a touching and informative video honoring the nearly 500 Notre Dame veteran alumni who gave their lives in military service, from the Spanish-American War through today.

The video is narrated by Mike Cerre ’69, an Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist and television producer whose work has included PBS NewsHour and other major networks.
