We are already baking at Uhuru Bakery, but the Cafe will open Saturday August 15th 12noon-5pm at 3719 W. Florissant!
Uhuru Bakery & Cafe will be at Soulard Market this Saturday June 20th 8am-3pm at 730 Carroll St. featuring fresh baked Berry, Pecan, Chocolate Bourbon Pecan, Apple Crumb, Lemon Chess, Sweet Potato and Vegan Sweet Potato pies, vegan chocolate chip cookies, Uhuru Coffee, Ginger Beer and more!
You're invited to the Grand Opening of Uhuru Bakery & Cafe Sat. August 15 noon-5pm at 3719 W. Florissant Ave. This event will feature food tastings from the Uhuru Cafe menu, presentations by powerful change makers like Uhuru Movement leader Chairman Omali Yesh*tela, APEDF President Ona Zene Yesh*tela, live music and poetry, raising red, black and green flags at multiple sites along W. Florissant, a photo display of the neighborhood in the 1950s-60s before the City deliberately let it decay and much more.
Uhuru Bakery & Cafe is part of the Black Power Blueprint that is building programs and institutions to end food apartheid and uplift every aspect of life on the long neglected Northside of St. Louis.
