VisionServe Alliance

VisionServe Alliance VisionServe Alliance leads a consortium of organizations & leaders who advance the vision loss field.

We cultivate leadership, address crucial industry issues & significantly increase awareness of & access to life-changing Vision Rehabilitation services. VisionServe Alliance is a consortium of Executive Directors/CEOs of 501(c)(3) nonprofits throughout the United States that provide unique and specialized services to people who are blind or with severe vision loss. We bring together the full diver

sity of services for one conversation with the ultimate goal of unifying the many issues and organizations operating independently of one another in the field. Members include organizations focusing on national advocacy and/or service issues, employment and manufacturing, adult vision rehabilitation, K-12 residential and on-line schools, early intervention and pre-school, dog guides, low vision clinics, and Braille production. Collaborative projects, national trends, stronger management and leadership, and advocacy issues have been born from these conversations and activities.

Orientation & Mobility training helps eliminate barriers for people of all ages living with blindness and low vision. Tragically, less than 5% of people who could benefit from vision rehabilitation services actually receive them – Vision Rehabilitation Week seeks to change that.

Agencies located across the US provide incredible support – including orientation & mobility training, mobility tools, and technology that enhances safety and independence. Tremendous outreach and follow-up throughout the field after last week's VisionServe Alliance and Envision conference. Connections made at this annual event support attendees far beyond the conference, helping inform their leadership, practices, direct services, and the life-changing training and support provided to the people they serve with vision loss.

With almost 400 attendees joining us - it's an incredible ripple effect that helps leaders thrive and advances the field. Thank you to everyone who joined us in Columbus. If you couldn't join us this year, please join us next year!
