Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved African Americans in Texas finally learned they were free. It is a day to honor history, celebrate resilience, and reflect on how far we’ve come.
We can honor the past without hatred.
We can learn from history without creating division.
We can celebrate freedom while choosing unity, love, and understanding.
May we continue building communities where every person is seen, valued, and respected.
