KINGDOM CITY CATS NEED FIXING ASAP

What do you do when someone says they don't care if their cats get thrown out a window? If you're like this couple, you take in the cats. The three boys, Apollo, Donny, and Mango, were skinny, with fleas and worms, and the couple is getting them healthy, paying for food and parasite meds, despite being short a job. But the boys need to be neutered. It can be difficult in a small home to keep cats separated, and there's a cherished female cat in the house, Peachy, who needs a spay herself. Peachy was found outside when she was just two weeks old, and was also nursed to health. Goodness knows this family doesn't need more kittens to feed.

Can you help? This resourceful couple has gotten another group to cover two of the males and found a cut rate for another. $255 will get Peachy spayed and one male cat neutered.

Update: We made it! Four spays coming right up. 💙💛🩷💜

MATCHING FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR FOUR SPAYS FOR THIS SWEET FAMILY

A lovely human being in far southeast Missouri took in a mother cat and her three female kittens who now live on her back patio. The kittens are now 3-4 months old and definitely need to be spayed. In the house there are pit bulls, and the smart kittens run out to the wood line when they hear the pitties inside, coming back to the patio when they feel safe again.

The lady already got some help with wound care for a cat. She is able to pay $100 per cat for spays, but because there is no inexpensive spay available in this area, this is still short $86 per cat. So we need $360. However, one of our volunteers will match up to $180 in donations, so we only need $180! For four females, down from $760--such a deal! Surely we can raise $180, right?

Even MORE good news about Brunswick! A couple of amazingly generous donors got us to our goal! All thirteen cats can get their appointments. Thank you, friends of kittycats. 💕

GOOD NEWS ABOUT BRUNSWICK!

Sometimes we write about towns in Missouri with stray problems, and it can get upsetting. This is a very different story! In Brunswick, Missouri, population 800, a whole street's worth of people are coming together to give 13 community cats a healthier future. Initially we were only going to try to fund four of these cats, but we were so impressed with these neighbors' cooperation and commitment that we want to go for all 13. The community cherishes their colony cats, giving them individual names to match their spirited personalities and loving natures, and they want to see the cats thrive. So far, they’ve managed to care for and rehome 20 cats! They’ve spent hundreds on food and serious, life-sustaining medical treatments, and now are running out of money. That's where all of us come in! With your support, they can trap the final 13 cats, get them spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and cared for, breaking the cycle of overpopulation. Once healthy, many of these cats can become candidates for adoption, finding loving forever homes.

To this end, we need roughly $800, and the community will do the rest.

LET'S GET THE MAMAS SPAYED!

Doniphan, Missouri has a huge stray cat problem. Among other things, people were leaving cats by a popular river spot. A local cat helper discovered that these cats were being displaced by construction, and she got to work trapping them. She now has way too many cats in her small home. Two were pregnant and have since given birth. Honestly, she has maybe 15 unfixed cats in her house, a sure recipe for disaster.

There aren't inexpensive options in the area, so we're starting with three, for which we need about $450. Star was one of the river cats and the mother of many of the others. When she was brought to the house, the previously-trapped cats recognized her and treated her like royalty, and so she was named accordingly. Her three current kittens didn't get trapped with her, but their rescuer kept going back for days until she finally got all three. (The reunion was moving!)
Mocha Choco Latte also came from the river. Polly was left behind by someone living nearby. She started coming by for food, and ran inside on the day she had her kittens.
All three come running to a call of "Momma!"

Folks, we have got to stop this cycle and save these ladies from a lifetime of delivering babies to a world that has no room for them. Can you help? No donation is too small, and every share helps too. As always, should we be so lucky to make extra, it will go right back into spaying and neutering others.
