Criminal Justice Ministry Since 1979, CJM has supported and empowered those whose lives have been impacted by incarceration in St. Louis. Initially a ministry of the St.

Vincent de Paul Society to provide prison ministry for the Archdiocese of St. Louis, CJM is now an independent, non-profit community agency. The agency provides jail and prison ministry, client re-entry services and advocacy for community safety and criminal justice reform.

A New Chapter for Criminal Justice Ministry
We are thrilled to announce that Criminal Justice Ministry has officially purchased a 20-unit apartment complex in North County, marking the first expansion of CJM into St. Louis County in our history!

This exciting new property creates more options for our clients and, most importantly, 20 additional opportunities for low-barrier, affordable housing for people impacted by the criminal justice system.

For CJM, housing is more than a roof over someone’s head. It is a foundation for stability, dignity, opportunity, and a second chance. Expanding into the County allows us to reach more people while giving our clients greater choice in where they build their next chapter.

We are deeply grateful to The Annual Catholic Appeal (Archdiocese of St. Louis) for their generous investment in this expansion, their belief in our mission, and their commitment to ensuring everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home. Their support helped make this new chapter possible.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Timothy Burgess with Worth Clark Realty for facilitating this incredible transaction and helping bring this opportunity to life.

⚾️ A day at the ballpark with the CJM team!
A huge thank-you to the St. Louis Cardinals for giving our team the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience watching the Cardinals take on the Orioles, complete with great seats and even better company!

This outing was a chance to step away, have some fun, and celebrate the incredible work our case managers and entire CJM team put in every day to support our clients. We’re grateful for the dedication, compassion, and hard work this team brings to CJM every day.

Here’s to celebrating the people who make our work possible!
