Today, we had the honor of participating in the 6th Annual Domestic Violence Rally & Walk alongside numerous community organizations committed to making a difference.

Together, we walked to raise awareness about domestic violence, support survivors, remember those impacted, and advocate for safer, healthier communities.

It was inspiring to see so many organizations united in a shared mission to educate, empower, and break the cycle of abuse.

Domestic violence affects individuals, families, and communities. By raising awareness and supporting resources for survivors, we can all play a role in creating positive change.

πŸ’œ Together, our voices matter. Together, we can make a difference

Changed By Design: Learning Healthy Habits Together

This week, our Change By Design mentoring program participants had the opportunity to learn valuable life skills from our dedicated Health Committee Members.

The session focused on the importance of proper hygiene and handwashing practices, especially before preparing food. The girls learned how good hygiene helps keep themselves and others safe and healthy when handling ingredients and cooking meals.

To bring the lesson to life, the Health Committee concluded the session with a fun, hands-on activity. The girls worked together to create a healthy granola snack using simple, nutritious ingredients. Throughout the activity, they also learned the importance of being mindful of food allergies and dietary considerations when preparing food for others, helping them understand how to create a safe and inclusive environment for all guests.

A big thank you to our Health Committee Members for sharing their knowledge and helping empower our girls with practical skills that promote wellness, responsibility, and confidence.

We are proud to see our participants continue to grow through meaningful learning experiences that support healthy habits and thoughtful decision-making.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a powerful reminder that early detection saves lives. πŸ’—

A mammogram is one of the most important tools in the fight against breast cancer. Regular screenings can help detect cancer early, often before symptoms appear, leading to more treatment options and better outcomes.

Today, we encourage every woman to:

βœ… Schedule your annual mammogram
βœ… Know your family history
βœ… Perform regular self-checks
βœ… Encourage the women you love to get screened

Let's break the silence, share the information, and support one another in prioritizing our health. A screening appointment could make all the difference.

Early detection saves lives. Don't delay. Schedule your mammogram today. πŸŽ€
