ATTN SACM Students: Online/Blended Course Permissions for FALL 2014 - DEADLINE NEXT FRIDAY!!!

Dear SACM Students: Records indicate YOU are registered for an online or blended course in Fall 2014:
Under advisement from the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission, any SACM student who registers for an online or blended course in Fall 2014 has until the following date to obtain permission to take the course from SACM and to present the clearance to his or her academic advisor in writing. If this clearance is not granted by this date, the student will be voided from the course on the deadline.
The deadline for presenting permission for Fall 2014 is Friday, August 8, 2014
If permission is not sent via email for Fall 2014 by Friday, August 8, 2014, students will be voided from all online/blended courses on Monday, August 11, 2014
Please forward the email to your Academic Advisor and to Jessica Hylton([email protected]) when your SACM Advisor grants you permission to take the online or blended course.
You can take a screenshot of your permissions in the portal and email the screenshot if you do not receive an email.

Here are the directions from SACM on how to obtain permission: (sent to you on February 11, 2014 from SACM )
All courses in your program of study must be taken in a seating environment i.e. in face-to-face classroom setting. Enrolling in online courses is very much restricted. In case you must enroll in an online course, please submit a Registration Request, through the Student Portal, whereby attaching the following requirements, as you need to get SACM approval before enrolling in the online course (you will be responsible for the tuition fees for any course that you take in an online format if you do not get SACM approval before taking the course):
1. A letter requesting approval to take the course online in your campus whereby showing that you need to take the course for graduation or for any other compelling reason such as the said-course is not offered in the regular setting (face-to-face) and you must take it in a given semester to stay on track. You must specify the name of the course, its code #, and its credit hours. For your information, MOHE has recently authorized undergraduate students to enroll in maximum 12 credit hours in the degree (whether in your current school and/or in the previous school that you have attended); and MOHE has authorized graduate students to enroll in maximum 6 credit hours (whether in the your current school and/or in the previous school that you have attended). For your information:
a. You cannot enroll in more than one course offered in an online format in any given semester, unless you are expected to graduate
b. If you have exceeded the allowed credit hours for online authorization, as stated above, you must repeat taking the additional credit hours in a regular setting (i.e. in face-to-face setting ) and SACM will pay the incurred tuition fees
c. The Degree Equivalency Committee in Saudi Arabia will not process the Degree Equivalency of your degree if you took more than the authorized credit hours in a given degree in an online format
2. A letter from your University Academic Advisor stating the following:
a. His/her approval for you to take the course online whereby stating the reasons for such an approval
b. That the course does not require physical attendance and/or practical work such as laboratory, etc.
c. That the online course will be taken on campus, while the student is residing in the U.S.A.
d. That the online course will be counted toward your major and the degree
e. The total number of online credit hours that you have already taken (whether transfer or not)
3. A copy of your official transcript
4. Completed, signed, and dated Authorization Document (copy for undergraduate and for graduate students are hereby attached)
5. Copy of the Course Description (Course Syllabus) of the course (s) in question
a. The requested online course (s) must not have laboratory requirements or practical applications”
