Louis Filmmakers Showcase, an annual presentation of the nonprofit Cinema St. Louis, serves as the area’s primary venue for films made by local artists. The Showcase screens works that were written, directed, edited, or produced by St. Louis natives or films with strong local ties.

Missouri’s Motion Media Tax Credit program has been in operation for nine months, with several high-profile projects already completed and more in the pipeline. This episode of The Screen Lawyer Podcast will explore what we’ve learned so far about the program – specifically providing clarity and guidance on the application and approval process and taking us through film completion and submission of final expense certification – highlighting the role of the producer in putting a successful motion media project together.
