Oasis Tutoring is seeking volunteer math tutors! Join our tutoring program and make a meaningful difference for local students in grades K–2 this school year.

As an Oasis Math Tutor, you’ll work one-on-one with a student to strengthen foundational math skills, build confidence, and make learning feel more approachable and fun. No teaching experience is required. Oasis provides the training, resources, and support you need to make an impact.

We are currently recruiting volunteer math tutors in the following communities:
- Missouri: Brookfield, Raytown, Chillicothe, Holden, St. Charles, Valley Park, St. Ann, New Bloomfield, Clayton, Marceline, Hazelwood, St. Louis, House Springs, Pacific, and Memphis
- California: La Mesa
- Indiana: Indianapolis

An exciting new chapter is unfolding for our Oasis Rochester center! We are proud to announce that Episcopal SeniorLife Communities (ESLC) is now the sponsoring organization of Rochester Oasis.

A nonprofit serving older adults and their families throughout the Rochester area, ESLC shares our commitment to creating opportunities for people to stay engaged, connected and inspired at every stage of life.

And this new partnership comes with a new home! Beginning in January, Rochester Oasis classes will relocate to 1530 East Avenue. With support from the ESLC Foundation, the space is being updated to include an exercise and dance studio, teaching kitchen, classrooms, meeting rooms, a resource library, outdoor sitting areas and on-site parking.

We’re excited for all that this partnership will make possible and can’t wait to begin this next chapter together!

This September, students aren't the only ones heading back to school! Oasis Tutoring volunteers will also be returning to classrooms, providing one-on-one literacy support to children in Kindergarten through third grade.

The need has never been greater. According to USAFacts, only 31% of fourth graders were reading proficiently in 2024. Through personalized tutoring and meaningful relationships, Oasis is working to help more children build the reading skills and confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Congratulations to our Oasis Albuquerque Tutoring Program Director, Vicki DeVigne, on this well-deserved achievement! Vicki was recently recognized with KOB4's Pay It 4ward Award for her outstanding work and dedication to helping children succeed through Oasis Tutoring.

Albuquerque Oasis helped 523 kids strengthen their reading skills this school year, and we're Paying it 4ward to one woman who kept 375 mentors organized and supplied with books.

Rockwood School District celebrated its Oasis volunteers with a special Italian food-themed appreciation luncheon, honoring the dedication of nearly 50 volunteers who support students throughout the district.

A special congratulations goes to Dr. Stefanie Steffan, Coordinator of Elementary Literacy, who reached an incredible milestone of 15 years of service as an Oasis Tutoring Facilitator with Rockwood!

The event also recognized tutoring milestones achieved by volunteers whose continued commitment makes a lasting impact on student learning and literacy growth.

We’re also grateful to everyone who joined us at the Northwest and Hillsboro appreciation luncheons as we celebrated the many volunteers helping students thrive across our Missouri communities. Thank you to all of our Oasis tutors and partners for your time, compassion, and dedication to lifelong learning and student success!
