The Vetwork Veteran Networking Collective
Fostering connections within the veteran community May 18th 2017, my day that will live in infamy.

On this day there were three different events for veterans in the Chicago area. There was an event targeted towards small business/tech start ups, another event paired with a global investment firm to provide networking tips resume writing assistance and professional headshots for linkedin, and another event took place that was a social gathering for veterans in the Chicago area. When this occurre

d many veterans had to choose which event they wanted to attend because they couldn't go to everything in one day. For others this was less of a problem because these events targeted somewhat different populations of vets, and while that may be true many of the veteran serving organizations lack the staff and bandwidth to attend multiple events in one night. Those orgs had to choose which population of veterans they were going to meet with and which were going to be looked over. That was the impetus for The Vetwork. We need to come together as veteran organizations and share resources, collaborate on programming to provide the most good to the most veterans possible.

🚀 is OFFICIALLY Underway!

What an incredible night for our very first Kansas City event! A huge thank you to the 20 veteran and military community members who came out to The Vetwork's inaugural event at Chicken N Pickle North Kansas City.

It was fantastic connecting with everyone and witnessing so many new professional relationships being forged in the KC area. The energy was amazing!

A special shoutout to the team at Chicken N Pickle NKC for being such gracious hosts and providing a fantastic atmosphere for our event! We highly recommend checking them out.

We are already looking forward to the next one!
