Friends of Wings

The Friends of Wings is the volunteer fundraising group supporting the Wings program. Without their efforts, many of the services provided by Wings would not be possible. Thanks to fundraising efforts, Wings is able to provide extensive support programs tailored to each patient’s unique needs. These include camps and retreats designed to serve children as young as 2 years old through adulthood, in the form of parent and couple grief retreats. Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of Wings donors and sponsors, the Daybreak retreat was added to the 2012 roster of services available. This one-day retreat provides an opportunity to meet the unique needs that couples have when dealing with the loss of a child. Grief counselors will provide education about the differences in how men and women grieve, while allowing couples to explore their own grief processes. Activities will encourage communication, develop partnership and foster a sense of hope. Thank you for your support of Wings.
