Cowboys, Crafted Spirits and Community Impact

We were proud to sponsor and attend the 14th Annual Angels' Arms Sip & Savor fundraiser in St. Louis.

The evening brought together foster families, community partners and advocates who share a common goal: creating safe, stable homes for children in foster care.

Throughout the event, our team connected with families interested in learning more about foster care and Treatment Foster Care while celebrating the incredible work Angels' Arms does to keep siblings together and support foster families.

Thanks to the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, auction donors, bidders, and supporters, the Catholic Charities ministry Good Shepherd Children & Family Services' Golf Tournament raised $168,000 toward our $175,000 goal!

The day was filled with great golf, friendly competition, and meaningful connections, all in support of a mission that changes lives. We are deeply grateful for the commitment and generosity of everyone who helped make the tournament possible. We’re so grateful for everyone who helped make the day a success and support children and families in our community.

When Virginia and Michael Hollingsworth became foster parents through Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis’ Good Shepherd ministry, they wanted to make a difference for children who needed a safe and loving place to belong.

What they didn't expect was how much those children would change their lives, too.
With their own children grown, they had room in their home and their hearts. Today, the sibling group in their care bring joy and energy to their days.

As Virginia said, "We may be helping them, but they bless us just as much."

Meet Hakim and Tiffany, foster and adoptive parents who truly embody Catholic Charities’ value of SERVICE.

As a former foster child himself, Hakim understands firsthand how important love, stability, and hope can be for children in care. Together, he and Tiffany became foster parents to show children that their past does not define their future.

Through fostering, they strive to teach children what it means to be loved, supported, and guided with Christ-like compassion. They also work to equip children with the tools they will need to thrive long after they leave care.

For Tiffany, one of the greatest joys of fostering is the opportunity to pour love into the lives of children while showing their own children what it means to serve others.

Hakim and Tiffany remind children that they can become more than they ever dreamed possible.

Meet Vera Goodloe, a Treatment Foster Care parent and one of the many Faces of Hope at CCSTL's ministry Good Shepherd Children and Family Services.

Vera leads with compassion, walking alongside children and families involved in the child welfare system with care, patience, and love, even when the journey is difficult. She finds joy in helping families through crisis and supporting children as they work toward reunification with their families.

People like Vera remind us that hope can change lives.
