Attention Everyone. As many know the 160th Pilot K**b reenactment will be held this September at Fort Davidson. Company G along with the National Blues, AJG, 24th MO and Holmes Brigade will be forming several companies of the 14th Iowa. Dom Dal Bello will be coming in from the west coast to command the battalion. In addition, Jeff Grzelak will be providing commissary rations. Company G, the National Blues and AJG will be forming the 1st Company. Registration along with some Historical info can be found here:

Dom, Matt Bohnert, and Alex Franklin are working on some extra activities for the weekend. As of now, the Battalion will be bivouacking Friday night at the Old Courthouse in Ironton portraying an advanced outpost prior to Price's arrival. Early Saturday we will retire (possibly pushed) backed to the fort.

Get Registered ASAP! Summer will fly by.

If you need to borrow something, let us know. Many of us have items we can loan out or even sell. It is encouraged to wear uniforms with signs of wear, but remember, soldiers maintained their equipment, so everything should be in serviceable condition.

Fellas, 160th Chickamauga is coming up in September. Plenty of time, but we want to start planning this now and get ahead of it. Also, registering early does immense help in planning for logistics. Several of us are supporting the AJG as they build out a depot company of the 27th IL. When was the last time your got to serve in a 80-100 man company with full compliment of officers and NCOs. This be will be very cool and plenty of surprises that I KNOW each of you will enjoy. $30 today and that supports your registration and rations. If you have not been invited to the AJG 160th Chickamauga page, let me know. We’ll rectify that.

Well. My brother and I are finally going to do what we have talked about for the last 10 years. Hope we didn’t wait too long. We will be heading to Gettysburg on October 22nd with our bikes for a week long leisurely bicycle tour of the area. Plan to travel the whole park hitting all of the trails as well as all of the shops. Staying at the Three Crowns Motor Lodge right in town.
