🛒🥫 A Little Help Goes a Long Way! 🧼💙

As changes to public benefit programs continue to impact many of the families we serve, Archway Refugee Connections is sending food and hygiene boxes home with families to help bridge gaps and ensure they have access to essential items.

Think of it as a community-powered pantry. Every can of soup, box of pasta, toothbrush, or bottle of shampoo helps a family focus on building their future instead of worrying about their next meal or essential household needs.

We're collecting:
✨ Nonperishable food items
✨ Rice, pasta, and pantry staples
✨ Soap, shampoo, and toothpaste
✨ Feminine hygiene products
✨ Diapers and wipes

Whether you donate one item or a whole shopping cart, you're helping ensure families have the support they need during this time of transition.

🚗🎉 Celebrating Success on the Road 🎉🚗

We are proud to celebrate the incredible women who have recently earned their driving permits and driver's licenses through our transportation program.

So far in 2026....

🚗🚗 22 women have received their driver's permit
🚗🚗🚗 8 women have received their driver's license

For many women, obtaining a driver's license is about SO much more than driving—it means greater independence, expanded employment opportunities, easier access to education and healthcare, and the freedom to support their families and communities.

This photo shows our permit 2.0 class where women who already have their permit are able to receive small group instruction on the English language skills needed to safely drive.

We are looking Permit 2.0 tutors and for childcare support for this class! It means on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm and Thursdays from 6-7pm. If you're interested in getting involved, email [email protected]!

We are still reeling — in the very best way — from being recognized as an Emerging Initiative at the FOCUS St. Louis What's Right with the Region Awards.

To stand alongside so many incredible organizations and changemakers working to strengthen our region was both humbling and inspiring. This recognition affirms what we already know: when communities come together to welcome, support, and uplift refugee families, everyone benefits.

At Archway Refugee Connections, we remain committed to building pathways of belonging, connection, and opportunity for our newest neighbors. Thank you to every volunteer, partner, donor, advocate, and family who makes this work possible. This honor belongs to all of you, too.
