Happy Juneteenth! Did you know? On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas received word of their freedom over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. In 2021, Juneteenth was officially recognized as a federal holiday. ✊🏾 We honor this historic day and the enduring legacy it represents.
