Make time for God. ❤️ On the Memorial of St. Teresa of Avila, may we grow in friendship with God through prayer and put that love into action. St. Teresa, pray for us!

As Pope Leo XIV is admitted to Gemelli Hospital today for surgery, we join the Diocese of Rome in praying the Rosary for the Holy Father. Cardinal Baldassare Reina, vicar general of Rome, will lead the Rosary at noon EDT (11 a.m. CDT, 10 a.m. MDT, 9 a.m. PDT) in St. John Paul II Chapel inside Gemelli Hospital, and has asked parishes and religious communities in the diocese to pray at the same hour. We invite Catholics across the United States to join them in prayer. You can also watch the livestream from Vatican News on the Vatican News YouTube channel. Please keep Pope Leo and his doctors in your prayers.

🎉 A new chapter for the University of Dayton! Congratulations to Dr. Darlene Weaver, named UD’s 20th president and the first woman to lead our Marianist university!
We celebrate this exciting milestone and extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Eric Spina for his years of dedicated leadership and commitment to the Marianist mission. 💙

Darlene Weaver, Ph.D., has been named the 20th president of the University of Dayton. She will begin her tenure July 1 as the first woman to serve as president in UD’s 176-year history.

Weaver, a nationally respected ethicist and moral theologian, accomplished academic leader and Catholic educator, has served as UD’s provost since July 2023. As provost, Weaver is the University’s chief academic officer, working across schools, colleges and divisions to support faculty excellence and research, student learning, and the integration of academic priorities with the broader student experience. Her leadership has been marked by thoughtful decision-making and a clear focus on preparing students for future leadership and service in a changing world.
