Valentineβs Day Essay β What Love Means to Me as a Young Mother
1. What is my view on love?
Love to me is more than just a feeling. It is a choice, a responsibility, and a deep, unbreakable bond communication trust etc Before becoming a mother, I thought love was mostly about happiness, fun, and the person who made me feel good are did things for me Love felt easy But becoming a mother at 16 showed me that real love is patient, selfless, and strong. It means putting someone else before yourself even when you are tired, stressed, or unsure. Love is protecting my child, guiding her, and wanting the very best for her every single day.
2. How has my view changed since becoming a mother?
Since becoming a mother, my view on love has grown deeper and more real. Love are no longer just words or feelings it is action. It is in the late nights, the sacrifices, the worries, and the little moments that mean everything Raising my one year old daughter has taught me responsibility, patience, and strength. Even though I became a mother young, my daughter gave my life purpose and motivation. Love is learning as I go, making mistakes, and still trying my best because she depends on me to eat to sleep to take care of her all of the above My love for her is unconditional and grows stronger every day.
3. How does my current view differ from my parentsβ version of love?
My current view of love helps me understand my parents more. I see the sacrifices they made, the lessons they tried to teach me, and the protection they gave me even when I did not realize it. At the same time, becoming a mother makes me think about what I want to do the same and what I want to do differently. I want to raise my daughter with patience, understanding, and support. I want her to feel loved, safe, heard, and valued. I want to guide her to be strong, confident, and kind, while always knowing she has someone who will never give up on her.
In the end, love as a mother is the strongest and purest love I have ever known. It is selfless, powerful, and forever. Love is not just something I say, it is something I show every day through my actions, sacrifices, and commitment to raising my daughter the best way I can. Becoming a young mother taught me that love is the foundation of everything, and my daughter is the greatest blessing and motivation in my life.
