In 2022, Prism Theatre Company launched our very first full production: the critically acclaimed world premiere of Bandera, Texas by Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend. The play was first featured the year before in our inaugural Spotlight On…Women Writing Festival of New Works, making its journey to a full production an especially meaningful milestone. It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly four years since we opened this show at The Kranzberg!

What began as a celebration of women’s voices and stories quickly became a defining moment in Prism’s history. We remain deeply grateful to the artists, audiences, and supporters who believed in us from the very beginning and helped us bring this powerful work to the St. Louis stage.

Now, as we enter our sixth year of programming, we invite you to be part of what’s next. This Give STL Day, your support will go directly toward our upcoming production - another world premiere: Progress by St. Louis playwright John Wolbers.

Early giving is now open. Visit www.givestlday.org to make your contribution and help us continue building a bigger stage for women and emerging artists in the St. Louis theatre community.

Congratulations to Joan Lipkin for being chosen as this year’s Margo Jones Award winner. Joan has been an inspirational leader not only in St. Louis, but throughout the world, using her art to fight for the rights of all individuals and to uplift and unite communities. We at Prism cannot imagine a better recipient of this award and look forward to many more years of Joan’s impactful work!

In 2021, Prism Theatre Company launched with our very first production: the Spotlight On…Women Writing Festival of New Works.

What started as a single festival became the first installment in our annual Spotlight On… series - centering local playwrights, amplifying new voices, and creating a space for the stories of women. That festival wasn’t just our first production; it was the beginning of everything Prism stands for.

Looking back on this very first festival, we are so grateful for the artists, audiences, and supporters who believed in us and our mission from day one.

As we reflect on where we started, we invite you to be part of what keeps us going. Support Prism Theatre Company during this year’s Give STL Day on May 7 - early giving is now open!

4 festivals. 4 productions. 4 STLPR theatre showcases. 3 cabarets. 5 incredible, inspiring years of Prism Theatre Company.

As we step into our 6th season, we’re taking a moment to look back on the journey that brought us here — the artists, the audiences, and the unforgettable moments that have shaped Prism Theatre Company.

From bold new works to reimagined classics, the past five seasons have been fueled by passion, collaboration, and a belief in the power of storytelling to connect and inspire.

Now, we’re ready for what’s next.
Give STL Day is May 7th, with early giving starting this week! Leading up to May 7th, we’ll be taking a trip down memory lane, revisiting all of the work that Prism has done over the last 5 years, and sharing information about our exciting 6th year!

This Give STL Day, you can help us continue creating meaningful, inclusive, and impactful theatre right here in St. Louis. Your support fuels our artists, our productions, and our mission.
