We had a late start to this year's neighborhood cleaning event due to the rain this morning but we've managed to make an impact! We've collected many bags of trash throughout the neighborhood from streetsides to sidewalks and alleys. I hope our neighbors will appreciate the efforts from our hard work.

I am very grateful to the volunteers that showed up today! Thank you to our neighbors, Kimberly, Pat, Maria, Bob, Joe, and Jack. Much appreciation to the Bishop DuBourg volunteers, Carter and Rosie. Bishop DuBourg has been a reliant partner with our community events. Shoutout to Brightside St. Louis for providing the tools to make today's clean up possible!

By reporting issues through the Citizens Service Bureau (CSB), you are directly helping to improve your neighborhood and our city!

We have another amazing lineup of speakers for the 2026 St. Louis Urban Gardening Symposium on May 30 from 8:15 am to Noon at the Brightside STL Demonstration Garden!

Evan Parker, Miranda Wilkinson, Amanda Wood, Susie Van de Riet and Sean Gunsten will be presenting on a variety of topics centered around the importance of native plants and how they benefit both people and pollinators!

Between sessions, you will have the opportunity to “Ask the Experts” from Missouri Dept. of Conservation, Forest ReLeaf of Missouri and STL Neighborhood Foresters all of your native plant and urban gardening questions!
