The first section addresses a common misconception. Saying Black Lives Matter is not an argument for supremacy, nor is it a claim that Black lives should matter more than anyone else's. It is an attempt to correct an existing imbalance, not to create a new one.
The middle graph shows the ultimate goal, which is a level playing field where every single person is valued equally. In a perfectly fair world, the value placed on a person's life would not change based on the color of their skin. Equity means bringing everyone up to the same baseline of dignity, safety, and respect.
The final section explains exactly why the movement exists in the first place. It highlights the systemic discrepancies that still exist in areas like housing, healthcare, the justice system, and employment. When a system consistently produces different outcomes based on race, it sends a clear signal about whose comfort and security are being prioritized. The movement is a direct response to that reality, serving as a reminder that we cannot truly claim everyone matters equally until the system actually treats them that way.
